Chris Brown, Drake Brawl: Rapper Meek Mill Speaks Out

Rapper Meek Mill, who was in a New York nightclub with Chris Brown and Drake when a bottle-throwing fight broke out, says neither hip hop star threw any bottles during the melee that left several people injured and led to the arrest of the club manager.

Asked by hip hop magazine XXL if he threw a bottle during the brawl, Meek replied, "F*** no," adding that Drake and Brown didn't either.

"Chris and Drake, them two was there, but it's other people that be around that take s*** to the next level," he told the magazine. "Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of s***. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle, and I was there."

In the hours after the June 14 early morning incident at W.i.P. nightclub, reports surfaced that Meek Mill, who was standing next to Drake, bashed Brown with a bottle. The R&B singer posted a photo of himself with a gash on his chin, but subsequently deleted it.

Brown also tweeted a message about Meek Mill, writing "Me and @ MeekMill ain't on that bulls***. Real respect Real…."

Meek confirmed to XXL that things were good between him and Brown.

"What [Brown] tweeted was just that me and Meek Mill ain't got no problem," he said. "I talked to him immediately after that, on the phone afterwards, like immediately. There's nothing there, this-that-and-the-third. Chris Brown be in clubs. He be around situations like this. Things get out of hand. That don't mean it's out of hand with me and him or whoever, not even him and Drake."

Reps for both hip hop stars maintain they did nothing wrong.

"Chris, Karrueche [Brown's girlfriend] and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.i.P.," Brown's publicist told ABCNews.com last week. "They sustained several injuries. Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further."

In a statement last week to ABCNews.com, Drake's publicist said, "Drake did not participate in any wrongdoing of any kind last night at W.i.P. He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began. He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property."
