Two Miss Florida USA Contestants Treated By Paramedics

A Miss Florida USA hopeful fainted today at a poolside rehearsal.

The other beauty queens helped keep Miss Tampa USA, Ashley Day, cool until she could be carried into air conditioning and treated by paramedics, ABC News' Miami affiliate reported.

"Right now, I think they're going to do a little bit of IVs on her just to make sure she's fully hydrated, has her electrolytes back in her," Miss Clearwater Cher Hubsher, who is also a nurse, told the station. "The hot sun is beaming down on us. It's so hard to even open our eyes, that this could have happened to anybody."

Another contestant, who was not named, was also reported to have been treated by paramedics at the Westin Diplomat hotel in Hollywood, Fla.

Day is a student at the University of South Florida in Tampa, according to her Facebook page.

The Miss Florida USA competition will be held this Saturday, when 76 women will compete for the crown.

The winner of the pageant will compete in the Miss USA 2013 pageant, in which Donald Trump is a co-owner.
