The Spice Girls Are Back! But Where Have They Been?

Attention all children of the '90s: Your lives are about to get a lot spicier!

The Spice Girls have finally reunited for the first time since their 2007-2008 reunion tour, gathering in London Tuesday to announce the launch of their new musical, "Viva Forever!" The announcement came from an appropriate location - the St Pancras Hotel - where they filmed their smash hit "Wannabe" video in 1996.

The musical's website touts the new show as the tale of one girl who follows her dreams. It explains how "Viva Forever!" delves into the girl's "journey into the world of overnight celebrity and its impact on her mother, and the friends she thought she'd have forever."

Set to premier Dec. 11 at London's Piccadilly Theatre, the show is being produced by famed Broadway mogul Judy Craymer, who is also responsible for ABBA's musical hit "Mamma Mia!"

Despite not actually starring Posh, Scary, Baby, Sporty and Ginger in the flesh, "Viva Forever!" will feature the hit "girl power" songs of the Spice Girls.

"They sing it better than us," Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) told the Associated Press.

The Spice Girls sold more than 75 million albums worldwide before they disbanded in 2000.

Melanie Brown (Scary Spice)

Melanie Brown entered the tabloids when her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar fell apart in 2000. She also released her first solo album, "Hot," that same year. She is now married to Stephen Belafonte, and they have one child together. Brown, 37, is also mom to daughters Phoenix and Angel. Brown returned to television in 2011 by joining the judging panel for Australia's version of "The X Factor" and later joining as co-host for Australia's "Dancing With the Stars."

Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice)

Melanie Chisholm is no stranger to the theater. Since her Spice Girls days, she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Best-Actress award for her first-ever professional acting role as Mrs. Johnstone in the West End's long-running "Blood Brothers." Chisholm also teamed up with artist Bryan Adams on her first solo venture, featuring in the song "When You're Gone." Chisholm, 38, returned from her successful musical theater journey in 2011 to head back into the studio to record her fifth album, "The Sea."

Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice)

Geri Halliwell is most recently making waves with the 2011 launch of her own swimwear collection with "Next." In 2001, she went to No. 1 on the U.K. pop singles chart with her remake of the disco hit, "It's Raining Men." Halliwell, 39, can also add "author" to her titles, as she released her own children's book series called "Ugenia Lavender" in 2008. She is unmarried and has a 6-year-old daughter named Bluebell Madonna.

Emma Bunton (Baby Spice)

The youngest member of the Spice Girls, Emma Bunton, 36, kicked off her solo career in 2001 with her album "A Girl Like Me." She temporarily joined the "Ice Panel" in 2010 as a judge on the ITV dancing show "Dancing on Ice." Bunton has been with her long-term partner, singer and chef Jade Jones, since 2000. The couple has two sons together. Jones proposed to Bunton in January 2011 - the day after her birthday - but no official wedding plans have been announced yet.

Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice)

Victoria Beckham has stayed in the spotlight the most since her "Posh" days with the Spice Girls. Beckham, 38, is married to the infamous soccer star David Beckham. The happily-married couple has four children. Beckham has also put her own stamp on the fashion world. In 2007, she won two British Glamour magazine awards celebrating her fashion achievements as Woman of the Year and also Entrepreneur of the Year. She's known for never leaving home without a pair of stunning high-heels.
