Man, Video Doppelgangers Make Surprise Musical Proposal

Will White wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Amanda, in a unique way on Valentine's Day, so he recorded himself singing the various parts to several songs, then spent about a week editing his various selves into one video.

On Thursday, he had the video playing on TV in the background while he sang the main parts of a medley of songs. He started off with his cover of Billy Joel's "The Longest Time," then segued into Timbaland's "The Way I Are."

For his performance, White wore dark pants and a light shirt over a dark vest and a top hat. As he sings, a mystified Amanda laughs and wonders aloud about what's going on.

"What have you done?" she says, laughing.

But when he starts singing "Question," by Old 97s - with his other selves on the background vocals - he starts to get serious. He puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a box, and speaks his next lines: "Amanda, you inspire me to do the sort of things that most people only ever talk about. You make me the happiest person in the world. Will you marry me?"

An emotional Amanda replies "Yes, of course I'll marry you!" and throws her arms around him.

On his YouTube description of the video, White said Amanda knew he would be making her a video for Valentine's Day but that she had no idea it would be a proposal.

YouTube viewers appreciated the effort.

"Will….that was amazing. Hell, I want you to propose to me. Well done," one viewer posted, while another added: "I teared up, this is incredible."
