'Hills' Star Has Lost a Million Dollars

Life after reality TV may not turn out as glamorous as it seems.

Former "The Hills" star Heidi Montag revealed she and husband Spencer Pratt have probably lost more than a million dollars since the MTV hit ended.

"I've never really counted, so I'm not sure [how much we lost], a lot… over a million or so," she told Access Hollywood Live.

Montag, 26, blamed expenses including "clothes, hair and makeup, managers, publicists, agents and lawyers" for the lost cash. She said she doesn't miss reality TV but she does miss the lifestyle it allowed. She said she and her husband currently live in a house owned by Pratt's family to keep their expenses under control.

"I only miss the money," she said. "If we would have saved our money, it would have been better."

Montag became infamous during her time on "The Hills" for undergoing 10 plastic surgeries in one day. But the former reality star said she would never do it again and would never recommend it to anyone.

Since "The Hills," Montag and Pratt, 29, have been working to get back to their pre-reality-TV selves.

"We both just kind of stepped back and have been able to reflect on who we've been, where we want to go and who want to be and what we want in our lives, and it wasn't the path we were going down," she said. "We're very grounded and humbled, and money and fame and the fast life, you don't really know how you're going to react to it. I certainly never thought I would become the person that I was."
