Burger King is celebrating the 55th anniversary of one of its most popular items: the Whopper. The restaurant chain has introduced a limited-time menu featuring two new whopper sandwiches and sweet potato curly fries.

"The Whopper Sandwich has been the iconic flagship of the Burger King menu since its introduction in 1957," Burger King's Flavia Faugeres, executive vice president and global chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

One of the new menu items, the Wisconsin White Cheddar Whopper Sandwich, is made with bacon and Wisconsin cheddar. The Angry Whopper Sandwich has bacon, Habanero cheese, jalapeno slices and spicy onion petals, and is topped with a special "angry" sauce.

Both sandwiches are priced at $4.49 for regular size or $2.19 for a Whopper Junior. Burger King is selling the sweet potato curly fries for $1.89.

The new menu items will be served in retro-style Burger King packaging.
