Blind Artist Creates Spellbinding GIFs

When George RedHawk suddenly began to lose his sight he discovered a new appreciation for art; committing to memory as many beautiful images as he could. He found a particular affinity with morphing GIFs, as he felt they best expressed the morphing quality of his diminishing vision.

Unable to continue his work in the medial field, RedHawk began to experiment with morphing gifs, manipulating and interpreting works of art, and in the process, unintentionally becoming a revered visual artist. His work has gone viral and his style has even been coined ‘The RedHawk Effect’.

With the assistance of visual aids and computer softwares that aid the visually impaired, RedHawk has created a series of stunning gifs with the aim to show the world as he sees it, from his damaged sight. The results are truly mesmerising.
