In 2018, some of the most mundane household items can have innovative qualities — even blankets.

We know what you're thinking: A blanket's sole purpose is to keep you warm, so how could it possibly be improved? Enter the Infinity Blanket (on sale for $140) by Yaasa Studios, which made nearly $100,000 on Kickstarter.

At first glance, this oversized throw looks like a plush, ultra-comfortable blanket — the kind you could buy just about anywhere. But according to Yaasa Studios, it's made with a unique performance technology called Celliant and could very well help you sleep better.

So yeah, your blankets are smart now. It's the future.

Yaasa Studios also claims their Celliant-infused blankets can reduce recovery time after an active day, alleviate vascular conditions, and more — but you should probably just get one and try it for yourself.

Here's their promotional video:

In 2017, following a variety of clinical trials, the FDA announced that materials made with Celliant technology "were determined to be medical devices because they temporarily promote increased local blood flow at the site of application in healthy individuals."

So it's got that going for it.

Luckily, it's also pretty snazzy looking too. Its minimalist design will look great in a range of homes, plus its machine washable. Typically, this blanket is available for $230, but for the next few days, it can be yours for $140
