Blake Lively's hand looks OK, but her abs look spectacular

Blake Lively suffered a hand injury filming The Rhythm Section that temporarily shuttered production on the thriller, but her limbs look OK in a new social media post. And, for the record, her abs look even better.

The actress — who welcomed her second daughter, Ines, with Ryan Reynolds in September 2016 — took to Instagram on Monday to show off her hard work with trainer Don Saladino. She wrote, “Turns out you can’t lose the 61 lbs you gained during pregnancy by just scrolling through instagram and wondering why you don’t look like all the bikini models. Thanks @donsaladino for kickin my A double S into shape. 10 months to gain, 14 months to lose. Feeling very proud.”

The photo she posted showed her in black workout gear, with her taut midriff exposed. She’s clearly in amazing shape. Her waist is tiny, arms are muscular, and legs are lean.

Saladino — who is based in New York City and has also worked with Reynolds as well as Reynold’s first wife, Scarlett Johansson — posted a similar shot. “Couldn’t be more proud @blakelively!” he wrote. “61 pounds in 14 months after baby number 2! Doesn’t she look awesome?”

Awesome indeed — and limber. In one photo, she’s got an arm resting on his shoulder while making a muscle with the other. In the other, she has one hand casually at her waist.

But make no mistake — she’s injured enough to shut down production on that major movie, helmed by Reed Morano. She sustained the injury on the set in Dublin in December. On Jan. 30, it was announced that production had been suspended indefinitely because an initial surgery didn’t go as planned. A second operation is required. Work on the film is now expected to resume in June when she’s fully recovered.

The flick, which right now is scheduled for release in February 2019, is based on the first of Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick book series. Lively, who co-stars in the film with Jude Law, plays the main character, who adopts the identity of an assassin to solve how her family died in a plane crash. She’s been virtually unrecognizable in photos from the set.

No word on whether she has to show off her abs in the film, but if the script calls for it, she’ll be ready.
