Blair man dies after vehicle stuck in ditch

BLAIR, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office says a man died after falling into a culvert. The sheriff’s office says the incident happened near Blair just before 10 pm last night (4/3/24). They say a man was trying to get out of his vehicle that was stuck in the ditch of his driveway when he fell, sliding down a snowy embankment into a culvert with standing water. He hit his head on the culvert, causing him to lose consciousness. The man’s wife was unable to get his head out of the water. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
