Disney and its licensees have a terrible track record when it comes to women characters who aren't princesses and merchandising, to the point that women are actually being removed from their own scenes and replaced with male characters when the toy is released.
Remember that great scene where Black Widow comes out of nowhere, gives Captain America the assist and is a really important part of the Avengers as a whole?
Well guess what?
"With your Captain America figure racing away, somebody needs to stick around in the cockpit. Luckily, the Cycle Blast Quinjet holds up to 4 2.5-inch Avengers figures! Additional figures sold separately," the item's description states. "Imagine your own battles as you put Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor, or Iron Man behind the controls and follow Captain America into the fight!"
At least they mentioned her there — but why not, and maybe this is crazy — create an actual toy that comes with Black Widow considering the fact this is one of her best-known scenes in the film?
