Apple 9.7 inch iPad - 32 GB, Space Grey
Was £319, now £299 from Currys PC World
The iPad is the ultimate office status symbol. If you've got an iPad, people know you're a force to be reckoned with. Obviously it also helps that, you know, the iPad is just a really, really good tablet. It's perfectly balanced to do everything you need from reading eBooks to word processing to staying in touch with friends and family. The discount on this one may not be massive, but the device did only come out a few months ago, so it's nice to find any deals on it at all!
If you're looking for something just a bit bigger, Currys are also selling the 2017 edition of the iPad Pro starting at £569, a reduction of £50. This is technically an outdated model, now that the new one has been revealed, but that doesn't mean there's not lots to love about it! Our reviewer, James Titcomb, wrote: "The screen is gorgeous and it has loads of power – more, I suspect, than the apps designed for this thing can make use of. In truth, I can find very little to fault it."
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 inch tablet
Was £278.98, now £149 from Currys PC World
A cheaper tablet that lacks some premium features, but it's ideal for the basics – watching films, playing games and editing documents. This model came out in 2016 and has 32 GB of storage, plus a microSD card slot lets you expand up to 200 GB – enough to save 160 films or 64,000 photos. The screen quality is pretty good, as is the Black Friday price, which also gets you a case and virus protection.

Best Dyson deals
Dyson V6 Animal Cordless Vacuum
Was £369.99, now £199 from Argos
As you would expect, the V6 makes more noise and needs more routine emptying than its newer V7 and V8 counterparts. And perhaps the battery - despite the wonders of cordless hoovering - would ideally last a little longer.
However, this Dyson light-weight is incredibly easy to use - even nifty. The V6 does a good job of removing household dust, and is catered to animal-friendly homes.
Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool fan heater
Was £399, now £299 from Currys
If you find yourself struggling in both summer and winter (this year saw both the Beast from the East and a record summer heatwave), the chances are you're in need of a little alleviation.
Why buy a heater and a fan, when you can get both in one? Sure, it doesn't come cheap (though this Black Friday deal certainly helps ease the pain), but it's well worth it. Not only does it cool and heat, but in terms of control it doesn't get much better – the nine-hour timer, for example, allows you to set when you want it to run.
