The bizarre story of an 'iCarly' fan account that's hassling celebrities on Twitter

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for Kanye West's Twitter, but at least we have iCarly Brasil's.

He got a wave of conservative support when he endorsed far-right commentator Candace Owens, and then lost a chunk of it when he tweeted a photo of gun control activist Emma Gonzalez. He's had some spicy discourse with John Legend and posted screenshots of it on Twitter, and apparently continued that conversation at Chrissy Teigen's baby shower. On Tuesday, he made a lot of people angry when he suggested that slavery was a "choice" in a heated argument on TMZ.

It's a lot of drama. Are you exhausted yet?

One iCarly fan account has stuck with him through thick and thin — whether it's set in his goals Kanye or "spaz in the news Kanye." It's not necessarily a supporter of Kanye West, but @ICarly312 has a mission: to bring the cast of iCarly to Brazil.

iCarly Brasil has responded to almost every single one of Kanye's tweets. Their messages range from kind of cute to vaguely threatening. Last week, the account vowed to sic nine billion Brazilian "iCarlers" on his account.

And on Monday, iCarly Brasil offered their ideal Yeezy design.

They even burned Kanye's whole career with, "Are you afraid of being outshined because iCarly songs are better than your entire discography?"

Ouch.

Who is behind this account? What do they even want?

"There are a lot of iCarlers running this account,"  iCarly Brasil said through Twitter DM, "so we can stay active all the time and never miss any opportunity to bring iCarly to Brazil."

The team behind iCarly Brasil explained that the show, which starred Miranda Cosgrove and aired on Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2012, is still wildly popular in Brazil.

"But they never visited us," iCarly Brasil explained.

The account is on a mission to get the cast of iCarly to perform a live concert at Rock in Rio, a recurring music festival. They've been trying to get the cast of iCarly to put on a show for its Brazilian fans since July 2013.

Their strategy: by hounding celebrities on Twitter, like Kim Kardashian and Cardi B.

The account even creates amazing original content featuring the cast of iCarly, like this beautiful comparison:

But why bother celebrities? According to iCarly Brasil: "Because they are rich and can use their money to something that really matters: paying iCarly’s paycheck and bring them to Brazil for a tour."

They fully believe that the cast would be down for a musical get together. It's worth noting that Miranda Cosgrove is the only cast member that sings on the iCarly soundtrack.

"Nathan Kress spoke with Seventeen magazine last month and he said that the reunion might happen," iCarly Brasil said, adding a prayer emoji.

The actor, who plays the usually flustered Freddie Benson, told Seventeen that he would be willing to get the cast back together for a reunion episode, but only if they had an "outrageously good script."

"And not only one that I thought was really good, but one that every single person in the cast could get behind," Kress clarified.

iCarly Brasil believes it can happen. The account has 16,000 followers on Twitter, and iCarly Brasil brags that one of them is Miranda Cosgrove herself. According to Unfollow Spy, it's true.

Their celebrity bombardment tactic is getting attention — kind of. Last year, they commented on singer Jacob Whitesides' tweet, and he actually responded.

It doesn't always work, though. iCarly Brasil is blocked by Liam Payne and Pewdiepie. The fan account calls them #iHaters.

The team behind this account truly believes they can get the cast of iCarly to perform a musical set in Brazil.

"Just [know] that we are just fans working hard for our dreams and we believe that soon we all will be having fun watching iCarly perform," iCarly Brasil said.

When Kanye tweeted about his opioid addiction on Tuesday, iCarly Brasil was there.

Oh, and they're totally team Seddie.
