"Pitch Perfect" is getting a sequel.

The Danish actress is to form part of a rival group, alongside YouTube sensation Flula, competing against a returning cast that includes Anna Kendrick.

Sørensen was acclaimed for her roles in Danish TV drama "Borgen" and 2009 action film "Ved verdens ende" [en. At World's End] and is to form part of a rival a cappella group with the help of offbeat YouTube musician Flula, reports Deadline.

Her most recent leading role was that of influential Scandinavian artist Marie Kroyer in "The Passion of Marie," which saw her nominated for Best Actress in the Film Academy of Denmark's 2013 Robert Awards.

By contrast, Flula gained a following with videos full of multitrack, multicamera one-man-band covers recorded within the confines of various cars, as well as celebrity interviews and musings on life in the USA.

Highlights include an interview remix with the cast of "Anchorman 2," a walk and talk with Larry King, and a carbound rendition of "Baby Got Back" with Sir Mix-A-Lot.

Musical romcom "Pitch Perfect" (2002) had Anna Kendrick leading a college vocal group to competition glory, and the well-received film made $113m on a $17m budget.

For the May 2015 film, Kendrick will return, as will many original cast members including Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Skylar Astin and Adam DeVine.

Another YouTube success, a cappella group Pentatonix, has also joined the production, performing as a team competing against Kendrick's Barden Bellas.
