Nothing says “I want to impress my girlfriend’s dad” like pot paraphernalia.

Lil Xan gave Billy Ray Cyrus a few gifts to keep the party going on his 57th birthday. The “Live or Die” rapper and boyfriend of Cyrus’s daughter Noah shared a photo of himself with Billy Ray on Instagram, where the country icon is seen holding up a huge ceramic bong and weed, with more weed on a step below him.

“Had to get dad a present ya dig ! 💔 Happy B Day @billyraycyrus,” the rapper, 21, captioned the post. He and Noah Cyrus went public with their relationship this summer.

Before you judge Lil Xan for his gift choice, remember that Cyrus has gotten high in his day. In 2017, Miley Cyrus shared to Rolling Stone that she once caught her famous father smoking weed out of a Red Bull can. “Not even out of a glass pipe! Not even out of a paper!” she said. “I was like, ‘Damn! Somebody turned on a fog machine in my dressing room or something?’ Oh s***, no, my dad got stoned.”

It’s not surprising Lil Xan didn’t present Billy Ray with a more father-friendly gift; this is the kid who was smoking throughout the entire VMAs, has a rap moniker that’s short for Xanax, and has “Xanarchy” tattooed to his arm.

Still, he doesn’t use Xanax anymore. “I was painfully addicted to Xans for, like, two years of my life,” he told Genius in October. “I know what it’s like to be addicted to that. I was lucky enough to get off that s***.” He says his brand, dubbed Xanarchy, is an anti-Xan movement.

Overall, it was a slightly risky gift choice. But it seems like Noah gave him the go-ahead, and that Billy Ray liked it — or at least was amused by it. Noah posted a video of her dad goofing around with the bong during his birthday celebration.

Clearly, Lil Xan feels right at home with the Cyrus clan. He recently told Billboard he loves Noah’s family. “I love their family, Tish, Billy, everybody,” he gushed. He also said that when he met Miley it was “all love.”
