Bills announce home game against Rams is soldout

Bills home game against Rams a sellout after local restaurateur purchases remaining tickets

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- The Buffalo Bills home game against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday has soldout after a local restaurateur committed to purchasing the remaining tickets.

The Bills announced on Wednesday that Russell Salvatore, of Russell's Steaks, Chops and More, had stepped in to prevent the game from being blacked out on local television. The Bills had said last week that there were more than 10,000 tickets unsold.

Salvatore called this his holiday gift to Bills fans.

The Bills (5-7) and Rams (5-6-1) remain on the fringes of the playoff hunt.

Buffalo's home game against Jacksonville last Sunday did not sell out. And there are thousands of tickets unsold for Buffalo's season finale against the New York Jets on Dec. 30.
