Bill Hader is officially playing Alpha 5 in the “Power Rangers” movie! Aye-yi-yi!

Children of the ’90s and comedy geeks rejoice! Because we have some pretty awesome AF news for you regarding the new Power Rangers movie.

According to Vulture, funny man Bill Hader will officially be playing Alpha 5, the Power Rangers’ trusted robot companion! AY-YI-YI! (Power Rangers joke alert).

For those of you who may not recall/aren’t total nerds like we are, Alpha 5 was the eternally flustered, kinda neurotic robot who handled all the “tech stuff” for the Rangers, and took directives from Zordon (you remember — the giant talking face thing).

The role definitely requires someone with spot-on comedic timing — not to mention someone who can mimic a perfect robot voice — so Hader makes a TON of sense to us.

And if you’re desperate to know more about the upcoming movie, worry not — we have you covered. The film — simply titled Power Rangers — is set to be released in March 2017, and the poster contains the super simple tagline, “Together we are more.” And among its cast of relative new-comers will also be Bryan Cranston as Zordon and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa (aka the best/weirdest TV villain ever).

So basically, Hader will be in fine company. And we can’t freaking wait.
