'Big thanks.' Packers' Aaron Rodgers praises Browns for win over Commanders

The Green Bay Packers needed a little help from the Browns in Week 17 of the NFL season.

The Browns delivered, beating the Washington Commanders 24-10 at FedEx Field.

That win, coupled with a Packers win over the Minnesota Vikings, eliminated the Commanders from the playoffs.

After the game, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave the Browns some praise.

"Big thanks to the Browns, first of all," Rodgers said to Tracy Wolfson of CBS to start his on-field postgame interview.

The win keeps the 8-8 Packers alive in the NFC playoff hunt going into a Week 18 game against the 8-8 Detroit Lions. If the Packers win, they're in the playoffs.

Green Bay is one of the hottest teams in the league, winning four consecutive games. Washington, meanwhile, has lost three games in a row.

The Browns were officially eliminated from the playoffs after losing to the New Orlean Saints in Week 16. They finish out the season on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
