Big scratch-off ticket win at small county market

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – A woman in Jefferson County is getting a windfall of cash after winning the top prize on a scratch-off ticket.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the winning ticket is worth $40,000 a year for 25 years. That’s a $1,000,000 prize. Of course, that’s before taxes. Lottery officials report that after taxes the winner will take home $28,800 a year for 25 years.

The Holiday Gold scratch-off was purchased at Richmond Country Market, located at 215 E. Main Street in Richmond, according to lottery officials.
