Big Brothers Big Sisters collaborates with Hatch during Bowl For Kids' Sake

Mar. 31—Big Brothers Big Sisters is entering a month of fundraising as April arrives. Kicking off Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising month Bowl For Kids' Sake is a Hatch Early Mood Food Benefit Breakfast.

Hatch will host the benefit breakfast to support Big Brothers Big Sisters on Monday from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their location on Main Street. All are welcome to enter the restaurant, sit down, and order a comforting, homemade breakfast — all for a great cause.

Big Brothers Big Sisters will receive 10% of Hatch's daily sales. Hatch Owner and Operator Cory Williams said Big Brothers Big Sisters also has the option to set up a donation table near the entrance of the restaurant, but he does not know if the organization will set up a booth.

Williams said he is glad to partner with the organization, for he truly believes in its work and mission, and, because of this, he has supported the organization for years.

"Just from a company perspective we are trying to help support nonprofits that support the community, like today we did the Stillwater Medical Center Foundation and previously we've done the band and some others," Williams said. "Just trying to support those who support the community kind of thing. It's been great so far, we've really enjoyed it. We've written some checks that are great because they ... otherwise would not have received that money."

Williams said the event is great for both parties because Big Brothers Big Sisters is able to get its needs met and Hatch is able to get more integrated into the community, let residents know the restaurant is locally owned and show the company cares about the community and local organizations.

Following the Bowl For Kids' Sake Hatch Benefit Breakfast are Pikes B-Ball Tournament on April 13-14, a Pickleball Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 13, Red Rock Benefit Night from 4-8 p.m. on April 22 and The Garage Benefit Night from 5-7 p.m. on April 29.

A bowling pin decor contest will take place during all of April. The Bowling Without Balls and Richmond Road Benefit Contest dates are still to be determined.

The namesake event, Bowl For Kids' Sake, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Frontier Lanes bowling center.
