Big box traffic stop yields stolen Walmart goods, police say

May 16—SOMERSET, Pa. — Four men reportedly fled from a Walmart in Somerset Tuesday in a box truck with stolen goods before state police made a traffic stop, state police in Somerset said.

Alexander Corea Blandon, 21, of New Jersey; Asdrubel Mesa Gonzalez, 25, and Ernesto Monjiotti Delgado, 25, both of Florida; and Luis Junior Vila Sanchez, 31, of Texas, were charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

State troopers were called to Walmart on North Center Avenue in Somerset Township at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday for a report of several males who allegedly fled the store without paying for nearly $1,000 in merchandise.

The men allegedly drove off in a white box truck heading for Somerset Borough.

Troopers said they arrested the four men after a traffic stop and recovered the stolen goods. Troopers said they also found drug paraphernalia behind the driver's seat.

The four men were arraigned by on-call District Judge Scott Walker, of Somerset, and sent to Somerset County Jail after each failed to post $7,500 bond.

The men, who did not speak English, were arraigned with the help of an online translator.
