‘The Big Bang Theory’ Postmortem: Mayim Bialik on Shamy’s Season Finale Shocker

Sheldon went ahead and tried to put a ring on it in The Big Bang Theory Season 10 finale, but his marriage proposal — while delightful and surprising — may also have been unsuccessful.

We’re gonna choose to see a glass half-full situation here, but the fact remains that when Sheldon flew across the country to get down on one knee and use Meemaw’s ring to ask Amy to marry him, he was met with stunned silence — and a quick cut to the end of the episode/season before Amy could give him an answer.

So Yahoo TV went right to the would-be Mrs. Cooper herself, Mayim Bialik, to see what that answer is going to be when TBBT returns for Season 11 next fall. And she doesn’t know, either. But Bialik suspects if a wedding does happen, Stars will be involved — those of both the Wars and Trek varieties. “I think if our writers decide to actually do a wedding at some point — which, I literally have no idea, like, I promise — there will absolutely be Klingons, there may be Stormtrooper costumes involved,” Bialik said. “If we were to do it, it would be geek to the max.”

Bialik, who’s been nominated for four Emmys for her performance as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, also shared her vote on who will be the bigger diva if planning for that walk down the aisle does commence next season. “I think it would be more predictable for Amy to be bridezilla,” she said. “I think it would be hilarious for Sheldon to be the groom from H-E-double hockey sticks.”
