Biden on website glitches: 'We apologize'
VP Biden apologizes for health website glitches; highest-level official to offer mea culpa
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Vice President Joe Biden is apologizing to Americans that the website for new health care exchanges wasn't ready to go when it launched on Oct. 1.
Biden becomes the highest-level administration official to apologize for the website's failures. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius apologized earlier Tuesday, and President Barack Obama has taken responsibility for fully fixing the site.
Biden says he and Obama were under the impression the site was ready. He says he's confident it will work by the end of November and that there will be plenty of time for people to enroll.
Biden tells the TV network HLN that Obama and Biden's daughter have both tried to use the website. Biden says he hasn't tried because, quote, "it was clear that I wasn't getting online."
