Trump's presidency is old news. Voting for the next president is important. Here is my report card of President Joe Biden’s accomplishments.

  • Border Policy: F. Allowing 6-8 million undocumented immigrants into the country is not an accomplishment.

  • Foreign Policy: F. Proxy war with Russia via Ukraine. Saudi Arabia and India turning toward Russia and China. Trying to control Israel's war with Hamas. The Afghanistan debacle. Sanctions on Russia and Iran not working.

  • Green Policy: F. Not enough infrastructure to make it work.

  • Energy Policy: F. Trying to choke America's energy industry in favor of EVs not working.

  • Economic Policies: C-. Causing inflation; prices not coming down. Interest rates way up. Housing affordability is very bad.

  • Crime Policies: F. Soft on Crime.

  • Education Policies: F. Our children are less educated, less able to compete in marketplace.

  • Defense Policy: F. Cannot meet recruitment objectives. DEI and "wokeness" programs not well received. Depletion of military capability.

  • Transparency and Democracy: F. Biden lies continuously — told us multiple times that the border was secure — that there was no crisis. Biden tries to do what SCOTUS tells him he cannot. Biden tries to control social media.

Too bad we have two candidates and neither lights my fire. The policies favor Trump, not Biden.

Trump’s “bloodbath” comments were taken out of context

The letter from Rae Crider last Sunday suggesting that the next election is a choice between a dictator or democracy is exactly right, but the balance of the letter is exactly wrong. If you like open borders, high inflation, high gas prices, high crime rates, higher taxes, innocent citizens killed by undocumented immigrants, more wars, more servicemen and women killed in botched withdrawals, including Indio resident Hunter Lopez, a weaponized Department of Justice and being mandated to buy an electric car that 90% of the public does not want and won't buy, then by all means, vote for Joe Biden. If you like closed borders, low gas prices, being energy self-sufficient, low inflation, law and order, lower taxes, keeping your gas stove, having a choice in what car to buy, deporting those who are here illegally and in some cases are collecting more benefits than our homeless veterans, unwavering support for Israel, and no more foreign wars, then vote for former President Donald Trump. His "bloodbath" and "dictator on Day One" comments have been taken completely out of context, because adding the context defeats the disingenuous argument! It's an easy choice, but not the one Rae Crider suggests.

Where are the campus protests around Ukraine?

There have been so many campus protests protesting the Israelis killing Palestinians. Such protests are understandable even given the atrocities committed by Hamas on innocent Israelis.

But what is not understandable is the lack of any protests aimed at Putin’s targeting for murder of innocent civilian Ukrainians. I consider the purposeful killing of Ukrainians day after day ordered by Putin as a form of genocide. Why do the campus protesters give Putin a pass for these atrocities?

Former President Donald Trump also gives Putin as well as the Israelis a pass. I believe that Trump understands that the more power Putin has, the more chaos there will be, the more bloodshed there will be. To make matters worse, Trump orders his House Republicans not to support military aid to the Ukrainians in the face of the continuing slaughter of Ukrainians.

And do not forget that Trump has expressed great admiration for Putin. He wants to be just like him. Putin kills his political opponents, and Trump promises revenge for his political enemies if he is elected. Trump and Putin, two of a kind.
