3 QUESTIONS
...about staying healthy this spring
With the weather warming up, I asked my colleague Erin Donnelly, who writes a monthly guide to good health, for her tips this spring.
Lily: What fresh, seasonal produce can we incorporate into our meals now?
Erin: Asparagus, artichokes and, my personal fave, peas! I’ve been adding them to creamy pastas, but they’re also great as a side dish. Just add sea salt and butter for flavor.
Lily: If people want to watch the solar eclipse on Monday, how can they protect their eyes?
Erin: Get solar eclipse glasses. Sunglasses aren’t enough protection. If you’re buying online, do it ASAP to account for shipping. I’ve also seen them at supermarkets and public libraries.
Lily: What’s something you can do on a rainy spring day that’ll improve your mood?
Erin: I might get a few haters for this, but hear me out: Take a walk. It sounds counterintuitive, but experts say it’s one of a few ways to practice self-care on a rainy day.
