Bicyclists captured on video being attacked by raging bull during a 'stupidly hard ride'

Cyclists in California may have trained for a Saturday bike race but not a fight with an angry bull.

Three cyclists were charged and attacked by the bull during the Bianchi Rock Cobbler – an 80-mile off-road course through Bakersfield, FOX 26 reported.

“I am extremely sore,” Tony Inderbitzin, a cyclist attacked, told the outlet. “I’ve never been this sore. Initially, right after the attack, my neck was killing me. That was the focal point of the soreness, now it’s the lower back.”

According to Rock Cobbler website, the course "is a stupidly hard ride bordering on a race" and was created by a "drunken madman." The course has an elevation gain of about 6,500 feet and cows are often seen.

Inderbitzin told Fox 26 this incident was a "mistaken identity from a cow to a bull."

"I had maybe a second to brace myself or do anything. As I was on my hands and knees trying to get back up, he circled around and came up with his head underneath my head and chest and flicked me up in the air,” Inderbitzin said.

Unfortunately, he did not finish the race and two other cyclists were also attacked.

Sam Ames, the Chief Excitement Officer of the Rock Cobbler, said those who got "tangled up with that bull" were fine in an Instagram post.

"Everybody had a good laugh and thank God it wasn't worse," he said.

If you are ever charged by a bull, the American Outdoor Guide suggests you attempt to move away slowly. If escape isn't possible, you should scream as loud as you can and hit the bull on its muzzle or nose for it to back off.
