Bicyclist dead after crash in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A cyclist is dead after being hit by a car in northeast Columbus Tuesday night.

According to a Columbus police dispatcher, the accident happened near the intersection of Morse Road and Stelzer Road at approximately 6:34 p.m. The bicyclist was attempting to cross Morse Rd. southbound when a Ford F-150, heading east on Morse Rd. struck the cyclist.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:36 p.m. The driver, who remained on the scene, was uninjured.

The Accident Investigation Unit responded to the incident and continues to investigate.
