Beyond Paradise's Kris Marshall rules out Death in Paradise crossover in season 2

Beyond Paradise star Kris Marshall has cast doubt on another crossover with Death in Paradise for now.
The season one finale featured some interplay between the two BBC dramas, as Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman briefly returned to the island of Saint Marie and even reunited with his old friend Harry the lizard.
This brief connection between the two shows will have to satisfy fans for now, as Kris Marshall has told Digital Spy that nothing else is planned for season two.
"So not in the immediate future, I don’t think, but it’s definitely something to be considered in the future, and I would absolutely love for certain characters to come and see us at Shipton Abbott. Specifically, someone like Don’s character," he told us.

Kris went on: "Don Warrington – I mean, he is the Don. I’m in thrall to him. I absolutely love him. He’s the most charming man on Earth. To have Don and Don’s character, Selwyn Patterson, come and pay us a visit, would be the dream, really.
"And Danny John-Jules as well. I love Danny. I’m great friends with Danny. Many, many characters. But not in the immediate future, I don’t think."
Barbara Flynn, who plays Martha Lloyd's mum Anne, has expressed excitement about a proper crossover between Beyond Paradise and Death in Paradise happening some day.
"That would be nice, wouldn’t it? Who knows? There’s all sorts of elements going on – Kris would know – all over the world. Who knows what will happen?" she said.

The franchise is expanding even further over the next year, as the BBC has confirmed another spin-off — titled Return to Paradise and set in Australia — is in the works.
Beyond Paradise will return on BBC One on Friday, March 22.
