Beyoncé and Laverne Cox are up to something special, but no one knows what

The only thing better than Beyoncé or Laverne Cox is Beyoncé and Laverne Cox.

While on the set of Access Hollywood, Orange is the New Black star and transgender activist Cox spilled the beans that she will officially join Queen B on a mysterious upcoming project. Doing what exactly? We won't find out until September 6th—but that hasn't stopped people from guessing already.

"I have no idea [how this happened] to be perfectly honest," she told the Access Hollywood hosts during her Tuesday segment. "I'm like, does she pick out her biggest fans ever and let them work with her? It's pretty amazing."

Cox has long been a fan of Beyoncé (look no further than her Lip Sync Battle performance), but the two first met at the 2017 Grammy Awards. She says "a sense of calm" came over her when they were finally introduced. Cox was originally contacted to appear in Bey's Grammy award-winning project Lemonade, but was unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts.

Now that this high-profile collaboration is actually happening, members of the BeyHive are offering up predictions for what these women have in store.

Some fans envision Beyoncé in the yards of Litchfield Prison, suggesting that the project could be a cameo on Orange Is The New Black. But...Beyoncé in an inmate's uniform? Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Others have a more realistic vision for the pair's collaboration, tying in Beyoncé's athleisure brand Ivy Park.
