Beyoncé Has Given Birth to Her Twins! Sexes Reportedly Revealed

Beyoncé has given birth to her twins! Yesterday, word broke that the singer and her husband Jay Z had welcomed two bundles of joy into the world–reportedly a boy and a girl. Mathew Knowles, the superstar's father, later confirmed the news on social media. Beyoncé and Jay Z are of course already parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter, who was born in January 2012.
The singer first announced news of her second pregnancy on February 1 by posting an Internet-breaking image of herself on Instagram. The image, which showed Beyoncé kneeling in front of a flower archway, covered in a gauzy pale green veil, quickly became the most-liked image on Instagram ever. Since then, Beyoncé has made multiple appearances while pregnant. First, and most memorably, she performed at the 2017 Grammys, clad in a Peter Dundas–designed gown. Following the awards ceremony (and her shocking best album loss), she has continued to make sartorial waves, often twining with Blue Ivy.
Toward the end of February, Beyoncé announced that she would be pulling out of her scheduled Coachella performance. Fans and ticket holders were, unsurprisingly, disappointed, but Beyoncé made it clear that her decision was based on her doctor’s advice. She also announced that she will headline the 2018 spring festival (leaving plenty of time for nesting at home between now and then). But knowing Beyoncé, we bet she’ll be back well before next April.
