Beyoncé Brought the House Down Again at Coachella

Her special guests from last weekend returned, as well as a surprise appearance by “Mi Gente” singer J. Balvin.

Beyoncé’s second weekend at Coachella was just as good as her first, mainly because the only thing she changed about it were her outfits. The special surprise guests from last weekend were back, including her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams and her husband Jay-Z, and she again wore Balmain, though she switched up the yellow hoodies from last week for hot pink.

She kept her setlist the same as last weekend as well, singing all her hits from “Crazy in Love” to “Bow Down” to “I Care” to “Love on Top.” The army of dancers on top of the bleachers behind here were back, as were the drumline and trumpets of her marching band. She also invited special guest J. Balvin to sing his hit “Mi Gente” as she sang backup dressed in a latex bodysuit.

During her second dance-off with sister Solange, the two of them actually fell when Solange tried to jump into Beyoncé’s arms, but they hopped right back up again and kept dancing without missing a beat. What else could you expect from the kind of performer who would keep singing after she ripped out an earring?

Beyoncé made history at this year’s Coachella for being the first black woman to ever headline the music festival, leading many of her fans to dub this year’s gathering “Beychella.”
