Beyoncé Almost Fell During the Super Bowl Halftime Show – Or Did She?

In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment Beyoncé stumbled ever so slightly while performing at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show on Sunday – before immediately regaining her footing.

The singer debuted her brand new single " Formation" at the show, taking center stage in front of a bevy of backup dancers.

The routine was going along flawlessly, as per usual, when Beyoncé did a backwards hop and lost her footing for the briefest of moments. In true Queen Bey form, she kept right on dancing – and somehow managed to make her misstep look like it was all part of the plan.

The Beyhive breathed a collective sigh of relief on Twitter:

Other die-hard fans insisted a Beyoncé fall was physically impossible as it would defy the laws of gravity:

"Beyoncé didn't fall, the earth just fell out of orbit for a second that's all that was," wrote one user.

It became a whole thing:

"Beyoncé didn't fall. The fall Beyonced."

"Beyoncé didn't fall she invented the new dance move."

"Beyoncé didn't trip the earth tripped."

"Beyoncé didnt almost fall ... all her back up dancers missed a move."

"But honestly Beyoncé can never fall. Gravity knows better."

It really has to be seen to be believed. Check out the video for yourself.
