While 29 million Americans witnessed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first kiss as husband and wife, there was so much more that viewers didn’t see on TV.
Oprah had a last-minute fashion emergency when she realized the cream dress she planned to wear looked white. Her Stella McCartney pink dress with lace trim was created overnight.
"We had dress-gate!" Oprah exclaimed in a social media video. "Wrong color! Now we got the right color I think we're going to do OK."
An estimated 120,000 people watched the ceremony outside Windsor Castle on giant TV monitors.
Once the American princess said her "I will" to Prince Harry, an eruption of cheers occurred by the revelers.
Many viewers spotted empty seats in front of the queen; however, they were vacant so no one would block her view of the ceremony.
Some social media users claimed that the bride did not curtsy the queen, but that was later proven false as cameras cut away before the world could see the show of respect to the monarch.
Episcopalian Bishop Michael Curry of Chicago became a sensation for his sermon, which was one of several moments when the bride’s black heritage was honored.
And when the gospel choir sang "Stand by Me," the crowds outside joined in.
Prince Harry was seen wiping away a tear as one of Princess Diana's favorite hymns was sung.
The late princess’ favorite flower, forget-me-knots, were in the bride’s bouquet and Harry gave his new wife an emerald cut aquamarine ring that once belonged to his late mother.
Prince Harry's former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was invited. Some said she had a "that could've been me" look.
The newlyweds open carriage ride was one of the highlights of the day.
Inside Edition’s Deborah Norville and Diane McInerney were in the crowd as the couple rode around in the carriage.
It was boisterous cheering and applause as the couple came in front of the crowds.
The bride was reportedly blown away by all thousands of people greeting along the procession route and she even spotted a familiar face.
Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, was heard exclaiming, 'Oh my God!’ as she spotted her former drama teacher, Gigi Perreau, in the crowd.
Harry's one-of-a-kind James Bond-style Jaguar with an electric engine became part of the show later in the day as the couple headed off to their evening reception on the Windsor grounds.
The sleek silver blue Jaguar E-Type Concept Zero, an electric version of the 1968 British classic, had a special vanity license plate, "190518," the date of the wedding.
