The best photos from the week in sports: 9/8 - 9/15
After waiting six months for NFL action to officially return to our lives, we were greeted with a very "meh" Week 1. Luckily, even "meh" football is still football.
Over the past several weeks, the Cleveland Indians of the MLB have put on an impressive win streak that (as of this writing) is still going strong, while other teams still struggled to remain in playoff contention.
One of the more memorable U.S. Opens in recent memory finished up over the weekend as previously-unseeded American Sloane Stephens won her first championship, defeating Venus Williams along the way.
