Currys PC World Black Friday 2018: Best UK deals on soundbars, Google Home, Dyson and more
Currys PC World is taking Black Friday very seriously this year. While discounts across most major retailers are better than ever, Currys PC World are making a concerted effort to one-up their competitors deals and price match those they can't.
It is a tactic that proved rather profitable last year; their website received over half a million visitors before 6am and they sold enough kettles – alone – to make over 25,000 cups of tea.
If you are searching for the best deals in tech, a new TV or simply want to upgrade your kitchen appliances, Currys PC World should be on your radar.
Fortunately, you don't have to waste your time hunting for the best deals. The Telegraph have hunted through all Currys PC World's promotions to share the highlights; below is our guide to Currys' Black Friday offerings.
The best Currys PC World Black Friday deals
LENOVO Ideapad 330-15IKB 15.6" Intel® Core™ i3 Laptop - 1 TB HDD
This laptop is shaping up to be one of the biggest sellers of Black Friday 2018. As all-rounder laptops go, Lenovo has built quite a reputation on their everyday favourites. This Ideapad, in particular, not only has the tech specs to support all work and play but has a durable design that means it can be transported safely in any bag. At over £200 off for Black Friday, it is also a steal. You'll be hard pressed to find a laptop with such high attention to detail (ventilation, a huge 1TB hard drive for storage, dual Dolby speakers, and more).

BOSCH Athlet RunTime cordless vacuum cleaner in marron glace
This is one of the most popular cordless vacuum cleaners out there, and is currently reduced by a not insignificant £250. It promises to take the stress out of cleaning (and possibly even render it an enjoyable experience). It has bagless suction and washable filters so you don't ever need to replace anything . And it can clean any type of floor in any room in your home, from carpets to hard floors and laminate.
KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM150PSBLT Stand Mixer - Café Latte
Was £549.99, now £274 from Currys PC World
If you've got your eye on the KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, then now maybe the time to buy - this model has a saving of £274.99. This mixer exudes style and quality but it's an investment which comes at a price. But if you're prepared to pay, it won't disappoint and gets top marks in most reviews.
According to Eric Chavot, consultant chef at Coda by Eric Chavot at the Royal Albert Hall: "‘At home, it’s got to be a KitchenAid. I’ve been using one for over 35 years and wouldn’t change it. KitchenAid has been 100% reliable, it’s simple to use and clean, and the range of attachments gives me all the core functionality I need, from whisking and whipping to mincing and grinding. Kenwood, Bosch, Sage all have models that are also good all-rounders." It also works well as a bread mixer.
SHARP LC-32HI5332KF 32" Smart LED TV
Was £269, now £169 from Currys PC World
This super cheap 32-inch TV is a fantastic option for small spaces or additional rooms. The HD ready TV may not be fit with all the latest technology, but it is more than enough to offer entertainment on demand.
The 32-inch Sharp LC-32HI5332KF comes equipped with all popular streaming apps, works with Miracast enabled devices, includes Freeview Play (which allows you to catch up on the last seven days of Freeview TV), and more.
Google Home Mini in chalk
At the moment, you can also save an additional £10 when you buy two Google Home Minis, by entering the code GMINI2 at checkout at Currys. The mini offers hands-free voice commands with Google Assistant, voice control music from streaming services with integrated speakers, and is compatible with both iOS and Android, as well as other compatible smart home devices.
It's available for the same price in a rather snazzy orange, or a muted charcoal black.
Dyson AM09 Hot & Cool fan heater
If you find yourself struggling in both summer and winter (this year saw both the Beast from the East and a record summer heatwave), the chances are you're in need of a little alleviation.
Why buy a heater and a fan, when you can get both in one? Sure, it doesn't come cheap (though this Black Friday deal certainly helps ease the pain), but it's well worth it. Not only does it cool and heat, but in terms of control it doesn't get much better – the nine-hour timer, for example, allows you to set when you want it to run.
Dyson V7 Motorhead Cordless Bagless Vacuum Cleaner
There are bags of Dyson discounts this year, and Currys has cut the price of this Dyson V7 bundle by £59. It comes with a handle kit bundle to reach all those dusty corners. This model has a 30 minute run time and offers 75pc more brush power than the previous V6 model.

JVC LT-48C780 48 inch smart LED TV
TV prices are getting more competitive than ever, and each Black Friday retailers offer heavy reductions in order to outbid each other. For under £500, you're not going to get state-of-the-art, 8K optics, but we don't think that matters.
At £249, there's no doubting this is a very good deal on a top TV for its price range. It's fully HD, comes ready to access all the catch-up TV and streaming apps, and is super easy to install. Happy days.

Xbox One S with Forza Horizon 4, Tekken 7 and Project Cars 2
Like with televisions, each year we see ultra competitive gaming bundles, and 2018 is no different. The Xbox One S, one of the latest iterations of Microsoft's console, comes with a one terabyte hard drive, built-in WiFi and Ultra HD graphics. It's also much slimmer than previous versions of the Xbox.
In this bundle, you'll get popular games Forza Horizon 4, Tekken 7 and Project Cars 2, though there may well be other bundles throughout the day.

Google Home Hub
The Google Home is an impressive little device that can help you run your life smoothly. Like Amazon's artificial intelligence assistant Alexa, the Home Hub runs with Google Assistant, which has many of the same features (it can perform all sorts of task, set alarms, play music, tell you the weather, and link with all your compatible smart home devices).
Having a screen is a big plus, as it can show as well as tell you everything, and the pictures and videos are of a high quality. At just under £100, we think this is a top Black Friday deal, if you're in the market for an AI PA.
Dyson vacuum cleaners
10 per cent off selected items
The Telegraph Recommended team was thoroughly impressed by Dyson's cordless vacuum cleaner range when testing them out. The V10, the latest model, was described as "very expensive, but there's no denying that it's very good, too."
In fact, the V10 outperformed most other brands by a long way, though Dyson's V7 wasn't far behind. Today, there'll be discounts across their range, so keep checking for top deals.
Belling Kensington 90DFT Dual fuel range cooker
A powerful, elegant 90cm cooker that is available at a very good price this Black Friday. There's ample cooking space, including three ovens and an integrated grill – ideal for cooking a big Christmas lunch. Sonos Beam compact soundbar
The SONOS soundbar offers top-quality high-resolution audio to boots your music or films. It comes with an HDMI cable to connect your telly to the box, so setting it up couldn't be simpler. It's also Alexa-enabled, so you can control it with your voice rather than with a remote.

The Echo Dot is usually £49.99, so this is a great deal. It is a hands-free, voice-controlled device which allows you to connect to personal assistant Alexa in order do a myriad of tasks: to play music, make calls, ask questions, check your calendar, weather, traffic and sports scores, manage to-do and shopping lists, control compatible smart home devices, and more.
Apple 9.7" iPad - 32 GB, Space Grey

The iPad is the ultimate office status symbol. If you've got an iPad, people know you're a force to be reckoned with. Obviously it also helps that, you know, the iPad is just a really, really good tablet. It's perfectly balanced to do everything you need from reading eBooks to word processing to staying in touch with friends and family. The discount on this one may not be massive, but the device did only come out a few months ago, so it's nice to find any deals on it at all.
If you're looking for something just a bit bigger, Currys are also selling the 2017 edition of the iPad Pro starting at £569, a reduction of £50.
Russell Hobbs Cavendish 4-slice toaster
When Telegraph Recommended reviewed a range of toasters on the market, a Russell Hobbs number was described as "the best toaster under £100." While this isn't the exact same model, Russell Hobbs have often impressed in this area, and the Cavendish is no different.
It's got all the features you need (defrost, extra wide slots, a lift and look feature), and comes far cheaper than many top-range toasters – and, of course, especially cheap today.
How to find the best Currys deals
As a business, Currys PC World offers certain benefits that make shopping - let alone Black Friday shopping - easier and cheaper. Here's our favourite pointers.
Price match: Firstly, they have a price match promise that applies to most high street and online retailers in the space (Argos, John Lewis, Amazon, Tesco, Asda etc). This not only applies to price cuts but special voucher offers, meaning you are unlikely to find better deals anywhere. Simply request the price match within seven days of purchase (fortunately, this means a Black Friday deal purchased on November 23 will be safe against upcoming Cyber Monday discounts).
Gift cards: Gift cards and voucher codes can be used on Black Friday purchases. As you prepare for the big weekend, use their Trade In scheme to turn your old tech into Currys gift cards. You could also use an app like Zeek (which allows you to buy unwanted gift cards at a discount) to ramp up your savings.
In-store help: Should you opt to shop in-store rather than online, Currys’ Team Knowhow will provide expert product set-up and installation for you. This is especially useful for shoppers who are investing in brand-new tech for the first time.
