Best Black Friday Deals on Robotic Vacuums

Between now and Black Friday, you can expect to see deals on robotic vacuums that are better than in years past. "If there's a particular model you're interested in, it's worth checking out prices now," says Kelly Moomey, a market analyst at Consumer Reports.
We're already seeing some great discounts from Best Buy, Home Depot, Kohl’s, and Target. In our tests, the best of these machines are great for clearing up small messes and helping keep your floors clean on a day-to-day basis.
Below are the best Black Friday deals we’ve seen so far, listed alphabetically by brand. We’ll continue our search as new ads appear and will update this article throughout November.
One tip: Don't forget that some retailers offer price-match guarantees, so if you find a model for a great price but prefer to purchase it elsewhere, see whether your preferred retailer will give it to you for the same amount.

iRobot Roomba 690
The deal: $249 at Target
CR’s test results: iRobot Roomba 690
If you’re in the market for a robotic vacuum and you don't mind that it's not the latest model, the 690 is a solid bet. At $249, it's about $100 less than its usual price and costs about as much as the lowest-priced models in our ratings. The average runtime for this robotic is 72 minutes, fairly long for a single charge. This sale runs from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30.
iRobot Roomba 960
The deal: $449 at Lowe’s, $400 at Best Buy
CR’s test results: iRobot Roomba 960
Though this vacuum isn’t the newest, it has held strong in the top tier of our ratings for two years. The sale price is easily $100 to $150 less than what you’d pay typically. This model earns an Excellent rating in our bare floors test and also does a superb job cleaning carpet, though you might have a little difficulty cleaning pet hair out of the brush roller. Lowe's holds this sale from Nov. 21 to Nov. 27, but you'll find the discounted price only at Best Buy starting Nov. 28.
iRobot Roomba e5
The deal: $329 plus an extra 15 percent off with a coupon at Kohl’s, $279 at Target and Amazon
CR’s test results: iRobot Roomba e5
This high-scoring model usually costs around $500, but at $329 (plus an additional 15 percent off if you shop at Kohl's), this is a steal. This model isn’t as “smart” as the top-of-the-line i7+, but it performs well cleaning carpet and earns an Excellent rating in our bare floor tests. It has an average run time of 56 minutes, typical for robovacs. Shop at Kohl's from Nov. 25 to Nov. 29 to get the sale price, at Target from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30, and at Amazon from Nov. 21 to Dec. 7.
iRobot Roomba i7+
The deal: $800 at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot
CR’s test results: iRobot Roomba i7+
Currently at $200 less than its usual price, the i7+ is one of iRobot's newest models, and it earns top marks in all of our tests. It also has a self-emptying dustbin that allows the robot to empty all the filth it picked up directly into a bag when it docks—no hands required. The average runtime for this model is 25 minutes. This sale is happening now at all four retailers above; it's unclear when it will end.
Shark Ion 750 Connected
The deal: $150 at Walmart
CR's test results: Shark Ion 750 Connected
So far, the Shark Ion 750 is the cheapest robotic deal you'll find on Black Friday. This model earns an Excellent rating for noise and is terrific at cleaning bare floors. Our testers did have to manually remove pet hair from the brush roll, though.
Samsung Powerbot R7040
The deal: $300 at Home Depot and Best Buy
CR’s test results: Powerbot R7040
The Powerbot R7040 is one of the best robotics on the market. It aces our carpet and bare floors tests, and earns an Excellent rating for being easy to use. You can program it by using the Samsung Smart Home app on your smartphone. This sale runs now until the end of November.
