Benfica advance to Europa League quarter-finals

Benfica advanced today to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League, after eliminating Rangers, of Scotland, on a 3-2 aggregate score.

Benfica beat Rangers, 1-0, at Ibrox Stadium in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16, after the two teams battled to a 2-2 draw in the first leg at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

Benfica reached the last eight of Europa League thanks to a goal by Rafa in the 67th minute.

The draw for the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League will take place Friday, March 15 in Nyon, Switerzland.
