Bench warrant list released by the Bluefield West Virginia Police Department

BLUEFIELD, WV (WVNS) — The Bluefield West Virginia Police Department released a bench warrant list on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

The Bluefield City Municipal Court issued the bench and arrest warrants, but it is not the complete warrant list. Those who are on the list could be wanted for reasons such as prostitution, assault, obstructing an officer, DUI, destruction of property, drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, or other reasons, not only traffic tickets.

According to a Facebook post made by the Bluefield West Virginia Police Department, the listed individuals can go to the Bluefield City Police Department and turn themselves in. They will be processed through the jail and given a bond amount when they turn themselves in. If the person makes bond, they will be released and will get a future court date. The people who have show cause warrants can get the warrant dismissed by paying the fine at the Bluefield City Police Department.

The defendants are believed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The listed individuals have had previous convictions of crimes charged through the City of Bluefield.
