Bemidji City Council to hold joint meeting with White Earth Band of Ojibwe

Apr. 29—BEMIDJI — The

Bemidji City Council

will hold a joint meeting with the White Earth Band of Ojibwe on Monday to discuss shared issues and potential partnerships.

The meeting will take place at the Sanford Center in Bemidji, with dinner scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the session called to order at 6 p.m. to begin discussion.

Included on the agenda are several topics, including an update on White Earth's purchase of Ridgeway 1 and 2,

which occurred in 2022.

At the time of purchase, White Earth expressed an interest in creating a sober living community.

It will also feature a conversation on Bemidji cannabis zoning and a discussion on human trafficking. The rest of the meeting has been scheduled for general discussion.

The joint meeting will begin at 6 p.m. tonight, April 29, at the Sanford Center.
