Below average highs for the midweek with an unsettled pattern

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Happy Wednesday, Utah! It’s going to be a cooler spring day in Utah today, with the exception of Southern Utah which should see close to average temperatures for this time of year.

The bottom line? Today will be cooler for most, but through the end workweek, we’ll see another storm clip northern Utah and increase the chance of wet weather.

Another weak system brushed northern Utah today and this is the reason we will see another drop in temperatures by another 5-10 degrees in northern Utah and by only about three to five degrees in southern Utah.

While it won’t be too cold, we’ll only see highs manage the 40s and 50s in northern Utah. There will also be a slight chance of showers up north and on the eastern side of the state with showers generally favoring the high country once again.

For the second half of the workweek, we’ll see temperatures ease up a little more with both Thursday and Friday seeing highs similar to what we get today across the state with mainly 50s and 60s up north and 60s and 70s down south.

Another weak system grazing northern Utah could result in a chance for a few isolated showers on Friday. By the weekend a southerly flow will push up temperatures a little more with Saturday likely being the warmer of the two days. From Sunday into early next week wet weather potential looks to pick up as we move into an unsettled pattern. Stay tuned!
