Belmont man reported missing; car found in Monroe

BELMONT, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Belmont man has been reported missing by local authorities.

According to the Gaston County Police Department, 31-year-old Andrew Douglas Tench was reported missing Tuesday, and was last seen leaving his Belmont home around 11:30 p.m. two days before on March 24.

He was reportedly headed for Charlotte, driving a 2010 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was later found abandoned in Monroe.

Tench is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing about 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt.
