Just weeks after wildfires devastated California, the southern part of the state is seeing massive mudslides in Santa Barbara County. As of Thursday, January 11, ABC News reports that Santa Barbra county officials have confirmed 17 people are dead, 17 are missing, and there are two whose whereabouts remain unknown in relation to these severe weather-related incidents.
In the wake of this horrific news, Bella Thorne incited some backlash after tweeting about why the 101 Freeway was closed down. On Wednesday evening, Bella was on her way to her boyfriend Mod Sun's Santa Barbara concert. When it appeared that she wasn't getting to the concert on time, Bella tweeted out her annoyance at the traffic, tweeting, "F*ck u 101 to santa barbra. I'm missing my boyfriends first date on his tour:(((." Needless to say, Twitter wasn't super happy with her.
That said, it appears that Bella just didn't realize why the freeway was shut down, as she followed up by deleting the initial tweet and writing, "F*ck just caught up on some news had no idea why the 101 was shut down...get home to your family safe."
