If you're a fan of Chipotle's burrito bowls, listen up. Taco boats are so much better. Because TORTILLA BOWL. Edible bowls always win. While you can buy premade taco boats, they're incredibly easy to make. And like most homemade things, they taste way better. Here's how to make them.

Shape a large piece of foil into the shape of a boat. (It doesn't have to be architecturally accurate.) Next place a medium-sized flour tortilla inside the foil so that the edges of the tortilla fold up to create a bowl. If you have pie weights, pour some into the tortilla to weigh it down. Otherwise, use dried beans or rice, which work just as well. Repeat with as many tortillas as you want bowls then bake until the edges begin to turn golden.

You'll want to cool the tortilla boats in the foil to help them keep their shape. While you wait, cook up some ground beef and get your toppings ready. Absolutely necessary: lots of cheese. Highly recommended: sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce, and guacamole. Fully loaded, these taco boats are the bigger, better version of beef tacos. Plus they're easier to eat and way more fun.
