Bed Bath & Beyond, Delta Airlines and Costco are the charts of the day
Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY): Shares getting crushed in early trade, down around 19%. The home-wares retailer reported an earnings beat, but comp sales were down year over year, and its full-year earnings guidance missed estimates. Delta Airlines (DAL): Shares higher here, up around 2%. The airline beat on earnings but reported that its cost per available seat mile, an important metric, was up nearly 4% due to a jump in fuel prices. Costco (COST): Shares rising here, up around 2%. The warehouse retailer reported March sales jumped 10.9% in March, with e-commerce sales soaring over 33%.
