This is how you become the boss legend of high school, meet, Hail Boy

Challenging Mother Nature is never a good idea. Legends have been written about arrogant humans who perished trying to defiantly piss into the wind.

But sometimes you need to show the entire school that you're a badass — pneumonia and skin damage be damned.

That's apparently what one kid recently decided to do when a massive hail storm began pelting students on campus. Instead of fleeing for cover, our unknown weather defier decided to stand in the middle of it all, hands in his pockets, without a care in the world.

To honor this epic display, someone recorded him and slapped on a soundtrack of "Mad World" by Gary Jules, which only heightens the weirdness of the impromptu spectacle.

Science fiction fans will probably get flashbacks of Donnie Darko, a film that used the same music during a creepy montage toward the end of the film.

So is this kid just a showoff, or did we catch a time traveling geek in all his glory?

Or, maybe he was just zenning out in the only space where he could truly be alone with his thoughts. Yes, fly you dark phoenix of high school, fly. Unlike you, they all run from the rain because they run from the truth. #madworld
