Beaver Falls man dies in North Versailles Twp. motorcycle crash

NORTH VERSAILLES TWP. ― A Beaver Falls motorcyclist died Sunday evening after colliding with a van in Allegheny County.

According to Allegheny County police investigators, 27-year-old Darien Clark was riding his motorcycle in North Versailles Township when he crashed with a van near the intersection of Clyde Avenue and Route 30 around 9:30 p.m. First responders rushed Clark to a local hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after 10 p.m. due to the injuries sustained in the accident.

According to police, the van driver was not injured in the accident. Investigators said both vehicles were traveling west on Lincoln Highway, but the motorcycle hit the van when it moved to make a left turn onto Clyde Avenue.

A similar motorcycle accident also occurred in the area near Westinghouse Avenue around 4 p.m. Sunday, which resulted in the death of 23-year-old Benjamin Petkovsek. The second victim of the crash, who was also driving a van, was taken to the hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
