Beautiful video: Northern Lights shine over Iceland’s erupting volcano

GRINDAVIK, Iceland (WJW) – Beautiful Northern Lights were spotted overtop an erupting volcano in Iceland, a unique sight to see!

In a time-lapse video, red lava is seen coming from an erupting volcano in Grindavik, a drastic contrast with the cool blue and green lights coming from the Northern Lights.

According to Fox News, the lights’ Aurora Borealis is at its strongest phase.

Since December, that region of Iceland has experienced four volcanic eruptions, which resulted in evacuations.
