Jonathan Owens, husband of Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, is signing with the Chicago Bears, thus ending his short tenure with the NFC North rival Green Bay Packers.

ESPN Bears reporter Courtney Cronin says the deal is for two years, though figures have yet to be announced. Owens joins established safeties Kevin Byard, who signed with the team in free agency, and 2022 second-round pick Jaquan Brisker in the Bears’ secondary.

Simone Biles confirmed the news on X, formerly Twitter, writing, “CHICAGO HERE HE COMES.”

In one year with the Packers, Owens tallied 84 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Entering his sixth year, Owens played his first four seasons with the Houston Texans.
