Beachbody's Latest Workout Encourages Country Music Fans to Dance Their Way to Fitness

Throw on a cowboy hat – the latest way to lose weight has gone a little country.

From the home fitness company that created the popular programs P90X and Insanity, Beachbody's newest DVD workout, Country Heat, is a line-dancing inspired cardio program with six routines set to the country tunes fans know and love.

The workout's instructor Autumn Calabrese tells PEOPLE the workout is doable for all fitness levels.

"You can have different goals and still use the program," she says. "It could be for weight loss toning, just getting back into fitness or getting into fitness if you've never worked out before. But it can also be for the person who really likes cardio and just looking for something new and fun to do."

The 30-minute workout burns on average 300 calories, according to Calabrese, and requires no equipment.

Along with the DVD set comes a 30-day calendar to guide people through the workouts in a specific order, as well as portion control containers with an accompanying nutrition program.

Anyone looking to add a new element to an established fitness routine may want to give this program a try, especially fans of other dance-based workouts like Zumba.

After all, says Calabrese, it's all about the music.

"I think more people know country music than Latin music even though Latin music is great too," she says. "You're going to be able to sing along to these songs, you're going to know them, and these moves are kind of like fun pop with a little country twist to them."
