BCSO: Man who attended Burnet Eclipse Festival dies

BURNET COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A man who attended the Texas Eclipse Festival in Burnet County is dead, the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office told KXAN Monday.

Around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, the 67-year-old man, who was not identified Monday, was out hiking on the grounds when he had a seizure, according to BCSO.

BCSO said there was no known knowledge of the man using drugs, and an autopsy was ordered.

Burnet Eclipse Festival canceled early due to possible severe weather

On Monday, the festival ended early due to a potential threat of severe weather in the area, festival organizers announced on its website and social media earlier in the day.

The festival was scheduled to last through Tuesday. At least 30,000 people came to Burnet for the festival, according to officials.

No other details were released Monday.
